Le DonK & ScOr-zaY- Zee - The Premiere!!

The Broadway Cinema - Nottingham's Finest
If you have never visited the fine city of Nottingham then I suggest, when you do, one of the first places you should visit is The Broadway Cinema and Bar. Even if you don't fancy watching a film the bar is just a great place to chill and meet some really interesting people. I have only lived in Nottingham a few years but I go at least a couple of times a week. Checkout their website for all the stuff that is currently on. :-D

Shane Meadows talking before the Film
Before the film started we bumped into Shane and he is a true gent! He took time to chat to us even though he was obviously very busy. We just chatted about how I had been watching the trailers and was really looking forward to the film and we discussed how the idea had come about for the film. The fact that it was just an idea that he and Paddy had developed from when they were at college together.

Le Donk & Scor-Zay-Zee

So, the plot is roughly thus: Le Donk (right) is an aging roadie, still looking to fulfill his dreams of musical stardom, without really having the skills to back it up. He also manages artists including Scorzayzee, who he pushes by pulling in favours from some of the people he works on the road with. The film is basically about those two going on a spiritual and literal journey together, alongside a documentary film crew, which climaxes in a support slot at Old Trafford with the “Arctical Monkeys” – as Le Donk refers to them.

The film is a mere 70 minutes long! But seventy minutes of pure joy. After the average/ok Somers Town this has got to be one of his best films to date. If you go to see this film and don't laugh then you haven't got a sense of humour!!! It is that funny!!! I only need to hear the names 'Tinky Winky' and 'Harold Shipman' to make me smile like a mad man today!!! If you go and watch the film you will know exactly what I mean!! Calm Down!! Anyone with eyes should go see it!!! DEFO - 10/10 FILM

Paddy, Scor-Zay-Zee, Mark and Shane - Post Film Q & A
The Q & A is always great as you find out things about the film you would never know!
It sounded like they just had a great laugh making the film. Scor-Zay-Zee was particularly funny..There is a bit in the film where he walks around trying to plug in a keyboard..which wasn't scripted it just happened..Which, when you see the film you will laugh loudly at!! :-D

Cinema Friends!!! Hayden with a cheeky grin on his face!!
Mark, who was sat next to me got Shane to sign an illustration that he had done of Shane!!
Which is amazing by the way!!
Shane has actually asked him to send him a copy.
I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Sunday Night!!!
Calm Down Harold Shipman
So wrong but sooooo funny!!! I am smiling just thinking about it!!!
I will certainly be purchasing the DVD.... :-D
