The green-hued Thriller-era artwork will be on show at London's British Music Experience, inside the concert venue at which Jackson had been due to perform.

The portrait, which is 30 x 26 inches (76.2 x 66 cm), will then be sold at auction in New York where it is expected to sell for millions.

"This Andy Warhol portrait brings together the uncontested King of Pop Art with the uncontested King of Pop," said Janet Lehr, acting for the seller. "The portrait was painted at the height of their careers and is a celebration of two of the great talents in global cultural history."

When I look at this picture it makes me feel quite sad for a variety of reasons
1) When it was done Michael Jackson was at the height of his fame 'Thriller Era' when he seemed happiest
2) Since the late eighties he has done nothing of any relevance
3) Western Culture - his old albums are at the top of the charts again
4) Western Culture - He is worth more money to people dead than alive
5) He leaves a legacy that is tarnished. He won't just be remembered for his music
6) The sadest thing of all is his children will never really know him!
7) r.i.p. Michael.....
