Le DonK & ScOr-zaY- Zee - The Premiere!!

The Broadway Cinema - Nottingham's Finest
If you have never visited the fine city of Nottingham then I suggest, when you do, one of the first places you should visit is The Broadway Cinema and Bar. Even if you don't fancy watching a film the bar is just a great place to chill and meet some really interesting people. I have only lived in Nottingham a few years but I go at least a couple of times a week. Checkout their website for all the stuff that is currently on. :-D

Shane Meadows talking before the Film
Before the film started we bumped into Shane and he is a true gent! He took time to chat to us even though he was obviously very busy. We just chatted about how I had been watching the trailers and was really looking forward to the film and we discussed how the idea had come about for the film. The fact that it was just an idea that he and Paddy had developed from when they were at college together.

Le Donk & Scor-Zay-Zee

So, the plot is roughly thus: Le Donk (right) is an aging roadie, still looking to fulfill his dreams of musical stardom, without really having the skills to back it up. He also manages artists including Scorzayzee, who he pushes by pulling in favours from some of the people he works on the road with. The film is basically about those two going on a spiritual and literal journey together, alongside a documentary film crew, which climaxes in a support slot at Old Trafford with the “Arctical Monkeys” – as Le Donk refers to them.

The film is a mere 70 minutes long! But seventy minutes of pure joy. After the average/ok Somers Town this has got to be one of his best films to date. If you go to see this film and don't laugh then you haven't got a sense of humour!!! It is that funny!!! I only need to hear the names 'Tinky Winky' and 'Harold Shipman' to make me smile like a mad man today!!! If you go and watch the film you will know exactly what I mean!! Calm Down!! Anyone with eyes should go see it!!! DEFO - 10/10 FILM

Paddy, Scor-Zay-Zee, Mark and Shane - Post Film Q & A
The Q & A is always great as you find out things about the film you would never know!
It sounded like they just had a great laugh making the film. Scor-Zay-Zee was particularly funny..There is a bit in the film where he walks around trying to plug in a keyboard..which wasn't scripted it just happened..Which, when you see the film you will laugh loudly at!! :-D

Cinema Friends!!! Hayden with a cheeky grin on his face!!
Mark, who was sat next to me got Shane to sign an illustration that he had done of Shane!!
Which is amazing by the way!!
Shane has actually asked him to send him a copy.
I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Sunday Night!!!
Calm Down Harold Shipman
So wrong but sooooo funny!!! I am smiling just thinking about it!!!
I will certainly be purchasing the DVD.... :-D

The Cribs@Lincoln Engine Shed

The Cribs - Where to start!! As soon as they come on stage there is a masive buzz around the venue. I have never been to The Engine Shed before but it is a brand new venue which is also a Student Union building. I saw the band about a month ago and the more I hear the new songs from the latest album the more you can hear the influence that Johnny Marr has had..They are just fooking mind blowing rhythmic masterpieces. I loved this band before he became part of the line-up, now, they are just the ultimate band with every type of tune. The time flies all too quickly as it does when something is so electric and absorbing that you can't take your eyes of the stage and the bass of the speakers is ripping through your whole body as you jump up and down like nothing else in the whole wide world matters, because for 90 minutes The Cribs are all that matter. They pick in and out of their back catalogue with ease, they have such an arsenal of tunes it must be difficult to decide which ones to leave out! They played songs from all four of their albums, faves included 'Mens Needs' 'Hey Scenesters''Another Number''I'm a Realist' and 'Cheat on Me'. In my lager fuddled opinion The Cribs are the Best Band in The World at the moment!!! I love em!! :-D

Adam Green - An unusual but lively support act. You might of heard of his former band The Moldy Peaches? If not check them out! Some of their tracks are on the Juno soundtrack also. I liked his style and his crazeee dancing..You gotta love anyone that does crazee dancing on stage!! Fave track 'Jessica Simpson'.

S & V and Me!! With huge 2 pint pots!! Bollox to queueing!!lol!! Vlad has turned his pot upside down and he is now using it as a House!! ;-D
Gig 3 in Rocktober was the best yet!! Good Music, Good friends and lots of laughs! DEFO a 10/10
Footage I took from the Cribs @ Camden Barfly!!!

WiLd BeAsTs @Social Nottingham

Wild Beasts - This is the fourth time I have seen the Wild Beasts!! They get better every time! Seeing bands in the Social is always extra special when you realise you are seeing a band destined to play far bigger venues. The intimacy of the venue enables you to get so close it's like having bands play just for you. I can thoroughly recommend the bands 2 albums. The show consists of a mixture of both. The highlights are 'The Devils Crayon' and 'Hooting and Howling' amongst others! Hearing the second album tracks live you can see how the band have developed their unique sound. The vocals sound amazing live and close up!! The two main protagonists of the band share the vocals, Hayden Thorpe's falsetto creates many a.nerve tingling moment!!Truely amazing night! wow wow wow :-D

Kate 'without the' Bush - I can't remember what this band where called but they sounded like Kate without the Bush!! If you get my drift! Pleasent but no substance..nice dress though!! lol

MarMitE dELiGhT? Or Not?

As a pseudo scientist I frequently like to conduct experiments on myself or by surprising others. I am quite a fun guy to be around...Any way, having manage to attract a female who is willing to share a bed with me I like to test them out shall we say.

I call this experiment the Marmite Delight? Or Not?

Here is how it goes, (this can be done by males or females)
Get your partner a little aroused...kiss and a fondle etc...
Then quickly depart to the bathroom where you put marmite on your willy (or Boobies for females)
Then just see what happens when you drop your under crackers!!!
Will she lap it up like a Labrador or Gag like a good un!!!
Either way....your sure to win as it will act as a tasty snack for the rest of the night..nice

More experiments from the G-LAB in the near future

A tip: wear black underwear
